BAGHDAD — Insurgents continued a relentless assault on Iraq’s military and security forces on Sunday, launching a coordinated attack on one of the main command centers in Baghdad that punctuated a rise in violence as the United States declared an end to its combat mission here. According to initial reports, at least one explosion and perhaps two occurred outside the Rusafa military command, responsible for security in the capital east of the Tigris.
